Animal List for Birthdays and Presentations


Requesting Animals:

All requests must be submitted a week prior to the scheduled show. Choose the number of animals (depending on which package you booked) from the list below and send them to us via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We will try to accommodate your requests as best as possible. Please note our packages normally include a mix of animals and we do not accept animal requests for our 16 animal package.

Interaction level:

Please note the interaction section beside each of the animals in the description. Some of the animals are not as interactive as others. Some animals have a limited availability so book early!

Surprise List:

Another option is to leave the list with us to choose a surprise list of animals that is well suited for audience of your event.

Fears:

If children have a fear of a certain animal, please let us know beforehand. If there are any parents or attending adults with a fear, please take into consideration that the children will benefit from interacting with those particular animals. Exposing young children to certain animals, such as snakes and tarantulas, will help to curb any developing phobias that media or other influences have put on them.


American Alligator or

Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman

or Spectacled Caiman


American alligators are from the swamps in the southern United States. They will grow 8-14 feet long, have about 75 teeth and have a very strong tail that they use for swimming and defence.

Interaction:
Moderately interactive, great for any age group.

Sugar Glider

Sugar gliders are a marsupial from Australia, they're similar to a flying squirrel. They have an extension of skin from their last finger to their first toe to allow them to jump and glide from tree to tree.

Burmese Python

Burmese pythons are the sixth largest snake in the world, they can grow from 10-19 feet long and are heavy bodied snakes. They are originally from Southeastern Asia.

Interaction:
Very interactive, great for any age group, great photo opportunities, a must-have.

Savannah Monitor

Savannah monitors usually grow to about 4 feet in length, sometimes reaching 5 feet. They have thick scaly skin and they have a forked tongue like a snake for tasting the air.

Interaction:
Moderately interactive, great for older group, limited availability.

Rose Hair Tarantula

Rose hair tarantulas are very hairy, but friendly tarantulas that are not poisonous. They have eight eyes and eight legs and are from Chile in South America.

Interaction:
Surprisingly very interactive, great for any age group, great photo opportunities, a must-have.

Chinchilla

Chinchillas are from the Andes Mountains in South America, so they have a very thick fur coat to keep them warm. They love to take a bath in dust to keep their fur dry and soft.

Crested Gecko

Crested Geckos are amazing little lizards. They can leap, have a prehensile tail and have tiny hairs on their feet so they can climb even on flat surfaces like glass. They also don't have any eyelids, so they lick their eyes with their long tongues to clean them.

Bearded Dragon

Bearded Dragons can make themselves look bigger and scarier by puffing out their beards, opening their mouths, and widening their bodies. They are from the deserts of Australia.

Interaction:

Red Eyed Tree Frog

Red eyed tree frogs are from the rainforests of Central America where it is warm and humid. Sticky pads on their toes allow them to climb and stick to the trees and leaves.

Interaction:
Interacts with birthday child only, great for any age group, great photo opportunities, a must-have.

Red-footed Tortoise

Red-footed Tortoises can grow to be about 14 inches in length. They are very colourful tortoises and have a very curious and friendly nature.

Interaction:
Very interactive, great for any age group, possibility of being fed during presentation.

Emperor Scorpion

Emperor scorpions are not a poisonous type of scorpion, their stingers are located at the end of their tails and if they did sting it would be like getting stung by a bee.

African Pygmy Hedgehog

Hedgehogs will curl up into a tight ball when they get frightened and stick their spikes up to protect themselves.

Interaction:
Moderately interactive, great for any age group, a must-have.

Leopard Gecko

Leopard Geckos are small, friendly lizards. They're called leopard geckos because of their leopard-like markings.

Interaction:
Moderately interactive.


Mini Rex "Velveteen" Rabbit

The mini rex rabbit has extremely soft short fur. They are a very smart and well-known pet rabbit, they're playful, relaxed and are known to be more "cat-like" than other breeds.

Eastern Box Turtle

Eastern Box Turtles are the only type of turtle that can fully hide their whole body inside their shell.

Interaction:
Very interactive, possibility of being fed during presentation, great for older age group.


Ball Python

Ball Pythons are called that because when they feel threatened they coil themselves into a ball and tuck their head in the middle for protection. They will grow to be about 4-5 feet long.

African Spurred Tortoise

African Spurred Tortoises could grow up to 150 pounds and live to be 100 years old. They are the third largest type of tortoise in the world.

Corn Snake

Corn snakes have a docile nature, are a moderate size (3-6 feet in length), have attractive patterns and colour variations and that makes them very popular as a pet.

Red Tegu

Red Tegu's are from South America and are a large heavy bodied type of monitor lizard. They have thick scaly skin and they have a forked tongue like a snake for tasting the air.

House Hippo / Skinny Pig


House hippos may look like miniature hippopotamuses, but are actually just naked guinea pigs called skinny pigs. They are not from the wild and are a mutation from a regular guinea pig.

Ferret

Ferrets are very friendly and have a playful nature and love going for walks on their leashes or a run through their tunnel.

Dwarf Reticulated Python

Dwarf reticulated pythons won't grow as big as the reticulated python, which is the longest snake in the world reaching up to 30 feet long. They are beautifully patterned snakes and are a long slender constrictor.

Blue-tongued Skink

Blue-tongued skinks are from Australia and have a bright blue tongue to scare away other animals because bright colour in the wild is usually a sign of danger. So their tongue is their defense.

Mali Uromastyx

Mali uromastyx is a unique type of lizard from Africa. He has a spiked tail that he uses like a club when defending himself. He eats mostly vegetation, but likes the occasional insect.
